On Friday, October 26 ,2018, C&S Retail Services, Inc. and our Piggly Wiggly partners are hosting the C&S Charities South Carolina Golf Classic fundraiser at the RiverTowne Country Club. We invite you to join us for a day of food and fun while support two great local causes - the Lowcountry Food Bank and the Pediatric Oncology Department at Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Since 1983, the Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB), a member of the Feeding American network, has served ten coastal countries of South Carolina. Almost half of the clients served by LCFB's three distribution centers are children and seniors. The net proceeds of this event will ensure that local children will have healthy meals when school is not in session through LCFB's BackPack Buddies Program.
A cancer center that combines patient care and research Hollings Cancer Center holds the distinction of being a National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Center. Hollings brings together over 180 physicians and scientists who are driving the discoveries that will lead to tomorrow's treatments. Their research is the driving force behind delivering medical advances to patients and their families, enabling them to educate health care professionals and the public, and to establish outreach services for underserved populations.
